Kindly Butterflies Like butterflies wandering the halls of my mind
A few kind words can break the silence
with a quiet fluttering of wings
a brilliant susurration that paints these bleak walls
with colors no man could see
without the gentle whisper of companionship
to open his eyes to forever.
Shards of the Mind Thoughts erupting from my skull
each one a blade of grass
that slices through reality
with an edge like broken glass.
They pierce the edges of my mind
with unrelenting force
those dying hopes and shattered dreams
that are their twisted source.
These Thoughts of Mine Oh, I wish that I could catch them
these little thoughts of mine
they pitter patter all about.
They're wasting all my time!
If I could grab ahold of one
I'm sure that I could find
the reason why they run away
and leave me far behind.

I'll tell you a story as best as I can but I warn you it's mostly untrue
and what parts of it are, I'm sorry to say, have a meaning that's lost upon you.
The story begins as they often do in a once, an upon, and a time
and the words I must say with heartfelt regret for the most part incessantly rhyme.

It all starts in the west in a desert most vast in a teapot of massive proportion
whose bowels were decrepit and falling apart and afflicted by quite vicious torsion.
And inside this hovel of tea-stained adornment lived a warlock so cunning and foul
that even the demons who hunt in those w
A Giant Jaunt I don't know why they run.
Am I that hideous a sight?
Do thoughts of my deep voice
haunt their childrens' dreams at night?
I know that I'm a decent fellow
but I don't know what to do
for every time I miss a step
they miss a house or two.
Sure I ground Jack's bones
into a tasty dough for bread
but no one liked him anyway
at least that's what they said.
Why are they so terrified?
Could it be my girth?
For when I walk along
my footsteps fairly shake the earth.
It's hardly fair to shun a man
who cannot help his size
and anyway it's very rude
and certainly unwise.
But, no, it couldn't be my weight
I think I'll just go ask.
